THE ARCHITECTURE OF THE GROUND.

Founded in Paris in 2019 by Philéo Landowski, a visionary French designer championed early on by Dover Street Market, Phileo redefines women's footwear through a distinctly architectural lens. Its generous, platform-like sole firmly anchors the silhouette, imbuing it with an understated authority, while derbies and loafers boasting sculptural proportions elevate every stride into a powerful style declaration.

The Artisanale line, featuring pieces meticulously hand-painted by Portuguese artisans, infuses a unique and personal dimension into a footwear wardrobe designed with absolute gender fluidity. It speaks to the woman who selects her shoes with the same discerning eye as her art objects: with exacting taste, boundless curiosity, and a profound disregard for convention.

About this selection

{"type":"root","children":[{"type":"paragraph","children":[{"type":"text","value":"Philéo Landowski founded Phileo in 2019, bypassing conventional academic paths, choosing instead to forge his expertise through experience, collaborations, and an intellectual curiosity cultivated within a family environment deeply rooted in Parisian art and culture. This singular trajectory explains what sets Phileo apart from other young footwear brands that have emerged in recent years: a fundamentally architectural approach to shoes, inherited from a sensibility to objects and spaces that predates any formal fashion design training. When Adrian Joffe, president of Comme des Garçons and director of Dover Street Market, noticed Landowski's initial creations, he recognized this rare quality—that of an object conceived as a three-dimensional sculpture whose beauty reveals itself differently from every angle.\nFor women, Phileo offers a formal vocabulary that categorically rejects conventional distinctions between feminine and masculine footwear. The generous, grounded sole that anchors the silhouette with immediate visual authority, the derbies and loafers with unexpected proportions whose lines defy traditional shoemaking conventions, and the Artisanale line, whose pieces hand-painted by Portuguese artisans make each item a unique object, collectively form a footwear wardrobe of remarkable coherence and maturity. Collaborations with Adidas, including special editions of the Superstar and EVO SL that have become collector's items, and the recognition from the Grands Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris, attest to a rapid and unanimous international acclaim.\nAt Actuel B, we offer a selection of Phileo women's shoes, available in our boutiques in Avignon and Arles, as well as on our website. Derbies, loafers, and pieces from the Artisanale line are presented by teams trained in the brand's architectural and creative universe, with the personalized advice that characterizes our approach to multi-brand luxury."}]}]}
