Chitose Abe, the visionary behind Sacai, has elevated deconstruction to an art form. Her signature is unmistakable: fusing two wardrobe archetypes to forge a new piece, fluid and unexpectedly captivating. With Sacai, the front tells one story, while the back unveils another, often more intricate.

This season, classics are brilliantly re-envisioned. The trench-coat merges seamlessly with the nylon bomber, while the crispness of a poplin shirt is softened by backs crafted from ethereal pleated chiffon. Sacai masterfully orchestrates contrasting textures (wool against nylon, cotton against satin) to deliver a sophisticated, dynamic utilitarian elegance, perpetually in motion.

About this selection

Founded in Tokyo in 1999 by Chitose Abe, who trained at Comme des Garçons alongside Junya Watanabe, Sacai has become one of the most influential Japanese houses on the international scene. Shown in Paris, its collections reinvent wardrobe classics through hybridisation, with a creative freedom that has won over both lovers of cutting-edge fashion and major houses, many of which have collaborated with it.

Sacai's DNA rests on the art of assembly: a tailored jacket fused with a bomber, a sweater married to a shirt, denim combined with knit or satin. Pleats, layering, asymmetry and contrasting materials create pieces with a double reading, both familiar and unexpected, built with remarkable technical precision.

Our Sacai women's selection perfectly illustrates this hybrid signature: the two-material Sponge Sweat jacket with cargo pockets, the hybrid nylon twill jacket, the curly faux fur bomber, the Denim x Wool Knit cardigan, the hybrid black denim dress and the wide-leg hybrid brown denim trousers. Tailoring is expressed through the asymmetric Suiting coat with satin lapels and the long Suiting x Crepe Back Satin dress, while floral and peacock jacquard knit sweaters and jackets, pleated skirts, the Pattern Mix dress and striped poplin shirts complete the wardrobe. For accessories, the Utility backpack, the Treck Slides mules and floral print socks.
