A protégé of Rei Kawakubo at Comme des Garçons, Noir Kei Ninomiya pushes the boundaries of garment construction. His signature? Never resorting to traditional sewing. Fabrics are meticulously assembled using rivets, rings, and intricate weaving techniques, crafting a fascinating modular structure.
This season, armour transforms into poetry. Deep black engages in a dialogue with plays of transparency in tulle and organza, shaping sculptural volumes that seem to float effortlessly around the body. Balancing refined punk and dark romanticism, each jacket or dress is a wearable work of art, as technically brilliant as it is profoundly moving.
About this selection
Trained under Rei Kawakubo at Comme des Garçons, Kei Ninomiya launched his Noir Kei Ninomiya line under the aegis of the Japanese house. There he develops a unique approach to textile construction, halfway between couture, craft and sculpture. His collections, shown in Paris, have made him one of the most singular Japanese designers of his generation.
Noir Kei Ninomiya's DNA lies in assembly work of extreme precision: pieces built without seams using rivets, small chains or loops, layers of tulle, ruffles and sculpted volumes. Black dominates, as the name suggests, but the label also allows itself deep touches of colour. Each garment is conceived as an exceptional piece, both romantic and radical.
Our Noir Kei Ninomiya women's selection features the black polo with tulle ruffles, which revisits a wardrobe classic with unexpected lightness, the blue knit top with satin ruffles and the navy voluminous midi skirt. Three pieces that perfectly illustrate Kei Ninomiya's art: turning familiar shapes into true textile sculptures that are easy to integrate into a contemporary wardrobe.
At Actuel B, we offer a selection of Noir Kei Ninomiya for women in our boutiques in Avignon and Arles as well as on our website, with delivery in France and internationally. Each piece is presented by teams trained in the designer's world, with the personalised advice that defines our approach to multi-brand luxury.
