Taiga Takahashi did not merely create fashion; he resurrected ghosts. Defining himself as a garment archaeologist, the Japanese designer dedicated his work to the obsessive study of early 20th-century American pieces (1910-1950). The brand meticulously reproduces forgotten weaving techniques, dyes, and constructions: garments built to defy time, destined to become the true vintage pieces of the next century.
This collection is a time capsule, a raw, melancholic, and spiritual luxury, crafted for purists who seek the very soul of a garment. It unveils pieces of radical authenticity: period-correct wide-leg trousers, work jackets featuring ancestral natural dyes (fermented indigo, mud-dyeing technique)...
About this selection
Founded by Japanese designer Taiga Takahashi, the eponymous label was born from an almost archaeological approach: studying American and Japanese workwear from the early twentieth century in order to reproduce its spirit, cuts and materials with exceptional fidelity. Each piece is numbered with a "Lot", like an archive reference.
Taiga Takahashi's DNA rests on fabrics developed in Japan using traditional processes, patterns inspired by period garments and meticulous craftsmanship. The label also explores surprising materials, such as Japanese washi paper combined with linen, to create pieces that are both historical and deeply contemporary.
Our Taiga Takahashi menswear selection includes the Lot.331 double-breasted jacket inspired by American postman jackets, the Lot.506 double-breasted cardigan in brown textured knit and the Lot.201 striped work trousers with turn-ups. The beige washi paper and linen raincoat, the pearl grey cotton pocket t-shirt and the brown leather belt with silver buckle complete a workwear-inspired wardrobe of great authenticity.
At Actuel B, we offer a selection of Taiga Takahashi menswear in our boutiques in Avignon and Arles as well as on our website, with delivery in France and worldwide. Each piece is presented by teams trained in the brand's world, with the personalised advice that defines our approach to multi-brand luxury.
