For 50 years, every pair of Matsuda eyewear has been handcrafted in the renowned Sabae eyewear workshops in Japan. Starting with a master engraver in Fukui, Japan, it takes up to 2 years and 250 steps for each Matsuda piece to become a wearable work of art. Using the world's finest metals - titanium, stainless steel, sterling silver and solid 18-carat gold - these Japanese master craftsmen transform raw materials into intricately detailed works of art. Using manufacturing techniques that are rarely used, Matsuda favors quality over mass production.
