THE ANATOMY OF LUXURY.

1774 is Birkenstock's exclusive and experimental division. Forget the casual holiday sandal: here, the iconic orthopedic footbed is treated as a piece of fine leather goods. Entirely sheathed in nappa leather or premium suede, it redefines comfort with absolute sophistication.

Monochromatic hues, rare materials, and invisible finishes. Whether the Arizona or the Tokyo, each 1774 model elevates the "bashing" (the comfortable sandal) to the status of a sharp fashion accessory, validated by the greatest designers.

About this selection

{"type":"root","children":[{"type":"paragraph","children":[{"type":"text","value":"Founded in Germany in 1774, Birkenstock stands as one of the oldest and most influential footwear companies in the Western world. For over two centuries, the house has perfected its foundational concept: an orthopedic footbed inspired by human anatomy, designed to support the foot in its natural form rather than constricting it within artificial constructions. This unique expertise, long confined to the realm of health and everyday comfort, underwent a major cultural revolution when fashion embraced the German sandal, transforming it into one of the most unexpected symbols of contemporary luxury.\n\nBirkenstock 1774 is the house's answer to this fascination, an exclusive and experimental division that treats the iconic orthopedic footbed as a piece of haute maroquinerie in its own right. Exceptionally supple nappa leather and premium suede replace habitual technical materials, while carefully selected monochromatic hues and invisible finishes elevate each model to the status of a cutting-edge fashion accessory. The Arizona and Tokyo, emblematic silhouettes of the house, are thus transformed into objects of desire, validated by the greatest international designers, from Rick Owens to Dries Van Noten, all of whom have collaborated with the 1774 division to explore the infinite possibilities of this now iconic format.\n\nAt Actuel B, we offer a selection of Birkenstock 1774 women's models, available in our Avignon and Arles boutiques, as well as on our website. Each pair is presented by teams trained in the brand's universe, with the personalized advice that characterizes our approach to multi-brand luxury."}]}]}
