About this selection

Born in California, Rick Owens founded his label in Los Angeles in the 1990s before settling in Paris. He invented for men a sartorial vocabulary that belongs to no tradition: neither classic tailoring, nor sportswear, nor streetwear, but a dark and sculptural aesthetic, instantly recognisable, that has influenced all of contemporary menswear.

Rick Owens' men's DNA rests on elongated silhouettes, ample volumes, drawstring trousers and demanding materials: wool, leather, technical nylon. The palette, dominated by black, is enhanced with melange grey and white contrasts. The house's sneakers, with their generous soles and assertive lines, have become cult pieces.
