Founded in Paris by Tunisian couturier Azzedine Alaïa, the eponymous house was built on a unique philosophy in the luxury landscape: the absolute conviction that fashion should celebrate the female body rather than constrain it. A self-taught genius, Alaïa revolutionized haute couture by making cut and knitwear his preferred weapons, attracting a clientele as diverse as Tina Turner, Grace Jones, and Michelle Obama. Since his passing in 2017, the house has perpetuated this heritage under the artistic direction of Pieter Mulier, former right-hand man to Raf Simons, who injects a rigorous modernity into the brand without ever betraying its foundational DNA.

The Alaïa women's SS26 collection confirms Mulier's artistic trajectory: a sensual and architectural exploration of the female body, driven by construction techniques of surgical precision. Sculptural knitwear, a historical signature of the house, embraces curves like a second skin while creating unexpected volumes.
