Dé is the translation in a service of the play of chiaroscuro, light and shadow characteristic of Ann Demeulemeester's style. The result is a collection of shaded patterns painted on porcelain. On the edges of the thin plates, a gradient is hand-painted in several layers, creating a meticulous play of lines. The hand work makes each plate unique while allowing many combinations. The arrangement of the different plates can be adapted to the guest, the atmosphere or the dish. The light effects generated by the superimposition of the gradations of the plates and cups are also special.
