Camper x Issey Miyake : Anita, l'art de la chaussure-chaussette

Before being named Anita at Camper, she was known as Anna on the runway. The shoe made its debut last March during Paris Fashion Week at the Issey Miyake Autumn/Winter 2026/27 show, designed by Satoshi Kondo, the artistic director of the Japanese house's womenswear line. A few months later, it arrives at Actuel B under its commercial name as part of the Camper x Issey Miyake collaboration.

The initial idea was simple: what if a shoe could embrace the foot the way a garment hugs the body? Anita’s upper, crafted from a fine TENCEL™ knit (a natural fiber derived from sustainably sourced wood), wraps the foot and lower leg like a second skin. It meets a sleek, pointed base, a low heel, and a signature Camper sole structure that guarantees everyday comfort.

This tension between the flexibility of the knit and the rigor of a structured shoe construction gives Anita its sculptural character: a piece that looks almost like a design object, yet wears effortlessly as an everyday shoe.

Founded in 1971, the Japanese house has always stood out for its continuous exploration of the relationship between the body and fabric, through the concept of "a piece of cloth" and the unfilled space that exists between the material and the wearer. Anita directly inherits this philosophy: a shoe envisioned as a garment, moving beyond the traditional conventions of town or sports footwear.

At Camper—the Spanish brand from Mallorca known for its technical and playful approach to footwear—Anita benefits from flawless execution. The meeting of Issey Miyake’s flexible upper and Camper’s structured sole creates a silhouette that is both lightweight and comfortable, designed for real everyday wear, far beyond a simple styling exercise.

This alliance of two heritages (boasting over a century of combined history) is the core strength of the Camper x Issey Miyake collaboration: combining the conceptual standards of a Japanese fashion house with the master shoemaking expertise of a footwear manufacturer.
