In the early 1980s, self-taught French-Tunisian designer Azzedine Alaïa created his eponymous luxury women's ready-to-wear label. He quickly made a name for himself with his highly sexy garments, which he created directly on his models' bodies rather than drawing them. Feminine, elegant fashion with a signature touch of sexiness - these are the hallmarks of the Alaïa style.
